An exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to lead and develop people practices across our charity, helping to create a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace while supporting colleagues, managers and trustees.
Heeley City Farm is a community charity based in the heart of Sheffield, working within a mini working farm to provide support, education and training to people from all backgrounds and abilities. We are an equal opportunities employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive culture and welcome applications from all minority groups.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead and develop our HR function. Working closely with our Co-CEOs, senior managers and trustees, you will provide expert HR advice, oversee the employee lifecycle, and ensure our people policies and practices support both staff wellbeing and organisational success.
This is a varied role covering all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, workforce planning, and organisational development. You will also support senior leadership with strategic decision-making, provide HR guidance to trustees, and ensure the charity remains compliant with employment legislation and HR best practice.
Using workforce data, employee feedback and HR metrics, you will help shape initiatives that improve engagement, wellbeing, retention and organisational effectiveness. You will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture where colleagues feel valued, supported and empowered to deliver their best work.
We are looking for a candidate with a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent professional experience) and significant experience in a senior HR management role. You should have strong knowledge of UK employment law, experience managing complex employee relations matters, and the ability to provide clear, practical and balanced HR advice.
