Did you know we're an approved Rare Breeds Farm Park?

Here at Heeley City Farm, we're proud to care for several rare and native livestock breeds. These animals aren't just part of our busy, community farm, they're part of Britain's living heritage.

By caring for these breeds, we're helping to protect the genetic diversity of traditional farm animals, while offering our visitors the chance to meet them up close and learn about their importance.

Learn more about the work of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust by visiting the RBST website www.rbst.org.uk/rbst-watchlist.

Meet the small animals

Our small animal house is run by adults and young people who attend the farm as part of their day service placement. Some of these animals are used in animal assisted therapy sessions both at the farm and in the community as part of the 'Farming Comes To You' scheme.

You can visit them every day between 10am and 4pm.

Your support matters

We receive no funding to care for our animals and rely on your generous donations to fund an ever-rising cost of feed, bedding, vet and other various bills. There are lots of ways you can support us, find out more on our donation page.
