Fixed-term 12-month contract
A dynamic opportunity to become the external face of our employability services; building vital partnerships with local employers, leading creative community outreach, and providing the essential guidance that helps economically inactive participants find their pathway to work.
Heeley City Farm is a community charity based in the heart of Sheffield, working within a mini working farm to provide support, education, and training to a range of people from all backgrounds and abilities. We are an equal opportunities employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive culture and welcome applications from all minority groups.
We currently hold the contract to deliver Pathways to Work, a programme focused on employability support for people who are economically inactive. As this contract expands, we are seeking a confident and creative Engagement Officer to lead our networking efforts. You will be responsible for developing relationships with employers and partner organisations, ensuring our service is well-known and accessible across the city.
Working alongside our Mentors, you will promote our programmes through online campaigns and in-person events like job fairs. You will also meet directly with participants to offer tailored advice, ensuring we meet our delivery targets while maintaining a welcoming, inclusive environment.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of the employability sector. You should be a team player who is equally comfortable working independently, managing social media, and engaging with the DWP and Job Centres. A Level 4 qualification in Employability or relevant professional experience is highly desirable.
