Alternative Provision with Supported Learning

For learners who are 8 years old to 16 years old, the Heeley City Farm educational team is able to offer a wide range of activities as part of the Alternative Provision route.

Our site offers young people the opportunity to gain skills in developing independance and social interaction, through one off practical days, sensory experiences or regular programmes tailored to the needs of individuals or groups.

Engaging in practical experiences can benefit young people in many different ways

Within a nuturing and supportive environment, SEN students will gain valuable skills in;

  • Interacting appropriately with staff and volunteers
  • Gaining and managing responsibilities
  • Becoming familiar with a working routine
  • Working alongside adults with learning disablilities
  • Understanding where food comes from, animal welfare and nutrition
  • Being able to develop their full potential and progress onto the next steps

10th December 2018 - A massive thank you to all who came to the Winter Fayre on Saturday.
