Our team at Wortley Hall Walled Garden are holding a Winter Pruning of Fruit Trees Practical Workshop.
Saturday 17th November 2018. 10am till 1pm.
The walled garden has a range of apple and pear trees—some young, some very old. We will look at the basic theory behind winter pruning, but most of the session will be practical, i.e. you will be pruning the trees - with guidance and supervision!
Some tools provided, but bring your own secateurs and pruning saws, we can clean and sharpen them for use on the day.
Course will be led by Darrell Maryon, head gardener at Wortley Hall Walled Garden.
Due to the use of tools and the potential height that will need to be reached this workshop if for ages 12 years and above.
Cost: £15 (concessions available). Booking in advance essential, book via email or phone!
Phone: 07768 932613
