Want to Help?
A recent violent attack on our animals here at the farm has created a big stir and, not surprisingly, a lot of outrage at the individuals who could have done such a thing to defenseless animals. 99.9 percent of people who come to Heeley City Farm benefit in some way and want to help us with our work so there is absolutely no chance of us over-reacting to this mindless act - we will continue to be vigilant and have already taken additional measures to safeguard our animals. If you would like to help us because of this incident or because you want to support our work in the communities of Sheffield and our environmental work, this is a good moment to start.

You can sponsor an animal, volunteer, buy on-line from us at BuyAt Heeley City Farm) or simply donate money by visiting us or at the GiveNow web site - just click the button below

Donate to Heeley City Farm and we will invest it in our work to promote energy efficiency renewable energy and the environmental work we do with schools.

This is in recognition for our contribution to the regeneration of the area and our work in developing models of social enterprise that can be used by others. We weren't the final winners, but very pleased to be recognised. For more information about the awards, click here: Academy for Sustainable Communities.

4,200 miles in a Trabi!
... became 5,300 miles including detours, but the heroic Trabi made it! Christine and Dominic, Friends of Heeley City Farm, drove from Sheffield to Banjul in Gambia as part of the Plymouth Dakar Challenge (sometimes known as the Ultimate Banger Challenge). In the process they have been raising money for Heeley City Farm and another charity, Seeds for Africa.
In addition, the car and it's contents (not the drivers) were auctioned in Gambia with the proceeds going to local development charities.
Although they have completed this epic journey and challenge of a lifetime, they are still raising funds and you can still sponsor the project and see their blog at the Sunspots Web Site .
A short video of them starting off on Saturday 16th December is avaialble here:
