Heeley City Farm is a registered umbrella body for CRB disclosure checks. This means that we process application forms on behalf of organisations who wish to check whether their employees or volunteers who work in regulated activities with children or vulnerable adults are suitable to the post.

Important CRB Update
As from the 20th July the CRB ( Criminal Records Bureau) will not be accepting the white CRB forms anymore. These have now been replaced by a new pink form, which is just slightly different to the old one. If you are unsure about how to complete the new forms please contact Jill Brookes on 0114 2505105.

Independent Safeguarding Authority – Vetting and Barring Scheme

The new Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) will work with CRB to assess whether a person is suited to the kind of work they are undertaking with vulnerable children and adults. Once the person is judged to not be a threat to vulnerable people they can become ISA registered. Eventually all employees and volunteers working in certain organisations (including volunteering organisations) will need to be registered with the ISA. If they aren’t, the organisation can’t recruit them.
