4,200 miles in a Trabi!
... became 5,300 miles including detours, but the heroic Trabi made it! Christine and Dominic, Friends of Heeley City Farm, drove from Sheffield to Banjul in Gambia as part of the Plymouth Dakar Challenge (sometimes known as the Ultimate Banger Challenge). In the process they have been raising money for Heeley City Farm and another charity, Seeds for Africa. In addition, the car and it's contents (not the drivers) were auctioned in Gambia with the proceeds going to local development charities. You can see their blog at the Sunspots Web Site.
