Heeley City Farm Projects
Wortley Walled Garden Heritage Project
Wortley Hall Walled Garden is a 3 acre walled garden between Barnsley and Sheffield. The garden has been uncultivated for many years but is now being brought back into life as an organic kitchen garden by Heeley City Farm. Heritage Lottery funding has been used to look into the conservation of the garden, give the local community opportunities to get involved with their heritage and to open up the site to more visitors.

Friends of Bishops’ House
Bishops’ House dates from c1500. Friends of Bishops’ House aim to ensure public access is maintained and to assist in planning the future for this precious inner-city jewel.
Friends of the General Cemetery (Sheffield)
Dedicated to promoting and restoring the Cemetery, and to protecting it as a unique heritage site and haven for wildlife.
Gleadless Valley Community Forum
Aims to give local people a voice and the ability to grow the capacity of the local community so that they can overcome barriers to social and economic exclusion.
Heeley Development Trust
Aims to make Heeley a successful, vibrant and inclusive community.
Meersbrook Park Users Trust
A group of local volunteers interested in the improvement and preservation of the park.
Sheffield Community Enterprise Development Unit (SCEDU)
Supports sustainable community enterprises, develops social capital and provides advice and consultancy to organisations like the Farm.
Sheffield First Partnership
Responsible for setting the city strategy together with the ambitious goals for the transformation of Sheffield, and oversees the development and collective performance of the thematic partnerships.
Sheffield South Community Assembly
Welcomes residents to meet and talk about how they can help shape services in the local neighbourhood. Covers the four wards of Gleadless Valley, Graves Park, Beauchief and Greenhill and Nether Edge.

Action for
Stannington
A public
awareness campaign inviting people to take positive action about issues
such as littering and thoughtful use of resources. Action for Stannington
organises group events to contain the problem e.g. "Spring Clean" whilst
on the other hand we strive to find long term solutions e.g.
co-operation with schools and promotion of recycling.
BTCV
International
volunteering organization supporting conservation initiatives in the
Sheffield and elsewhere in the
Centre for Alternative Technology
Offers solutions to some of the most serious challenges facing our planet and the human race, such as climate change, pollution and the waste of precious resources.
Community Composting Network
Supports and promotes the community management and use of waste bio-degradable resources. (Based at the Farm).

European Federation of City Farms

The UK's leading organic organisation, with over 200 staff based in Bristol and Edinburgh and working as certification inspectors across the country. Wortley Hall Walled Garden, which is managed by the Farm, has organic certification by the Soil Association.
Heritage
Council for British Archaeology
The CBA is an educational charity working throughout the UK to involve people in archaeology and to promote the appreciation and care of the historic environment for the benefit of present and future generations.
Festival of British Archaeology
Organised by the CBA, Heeley City Farm is pleased to have been part of this annual festival since 2009.
Sheffield Young Archaeologists Club
Sheffield Young Archaeologists' Club (SYAC) is the local group of the national YAC Organisation which is the only national club for young people (aged 8-16) interested in archaeology. The Sheffield group is run by volunteers who organise trips to places of archaeological (or historical) interest.
University of Sheffield: Department of Archaeology
Our Community Heritage Team run several partnership projects with the archaeologists from the University , including ‘Life at No.57: The Sheffield Terraced Street Dig’ and the Reconstructed Roundhouse Project.

Voluntary Action Sheffield (VAS)
Charity that supports the development of a vibrant, effective and influential voluntary and community sector locally. VAS provides a wide range of services, including specialist support, advice and training to over 900 voluntary and community organisations in Sheffield each year and we promote and support volunteering in the city.
Young People
Sheffield Youth Offending Service
Key to the successful delivery of the Youth Justice System in Sheffield. The YOS is a multi-agency team made up of representatives from four statutory partners; Children & Young People's Directorate (Sheffield City Council), South Yorkshire Police, The Probation Service and the Primary Care Trust.

Wortley Hall
Wortley Hall stands within 26 acres of formal woodland and offers peace and privacy for both business and holiday guests. The farm restored and maintains the Hall’s Walled Garden.
