| Nick Parsons (03/02/2004) Kathie, there's a course for you, and for others interested in green refurbishment. It's a 6-week WEA evening course, starting Monday May 10th at 6.30 p.m. at Heeley City Farm. Course fee is £21.00, and concessions are available. All welcome. It covers how to make your house superbly energy efficient, even if it was built in 1900, how to find and choose 'green' materials, and how you might incorporate renewable energy into your refurbishment plans. It's friendly and informal and includes a site visit. For details please ring me on 0114 2505108, or e-mail energy@heeleyfarm.org.uk
| Kathie (01/02/2004) Hi, I'm interested in finding out about how to do up my house the energy efficient way..could you please send me details of the next course? Kathie

| Sònia Romera (17/12/2003) I'm discovering the work of city farms or farms schools and I'm very interested about your job! I'm teacher of special needs and work in therapeutic riding with handicapped people since 1998. I want to create a little center in Tarragona, Spain and I think that the model of farm school is perfect! If someone wants contact me to share ideas and experiencies I left my e-mail address. Congratulations!

I am currently doing research on the potential benefits to children with E.B.D. of interaction with animals. I have logged on to the City Farms website because I feel this links closely with the work and research I am doing (although this is a mostly rural area.) I would welcome any help, information, leads to follow etc.!! Thanks for reading this!!

| Jason Heeley (01/08/2003) Good to see other Heeley's doing good things
| Kath Horner (23/07/2003) I now believe you have a development worker working with older people on environmental issues. Splendid! The SE PCT are developing services for older people - lets work together
| Nick Parsons (16/07/2003) This warm weather is fantastic for our solar water heating installations! Some of the panels have been reaching over 85 degrees Centigrade. But it doesn't just work in hot weather. A domestic solar water heating system can provide 50 to 60% of your hot water over a year. And we run courses on how to build them. Phone Nick Parsons (0114 2505108) or David Garlovsky (0114 2499459) for details. And watch out for further developments at Sheffield's Energy Centre, here at the Farm.

| Eliese (29/04/2003) 29/4/03 This pains me to add, but tragically, our much loved Lilly caught an eye infection and just couldn't muster the strengh to fight it. She has died and we are all so sad at her loss. However, her daughter Kissy gave birth this morning to an adorable son, so tiny (black and white)....suggestions for his name are pouring in from the children, volunteers, students and staff. Perhaps we should add something on this site about all our animals, their names/antics/etc? Any comments from you about this?
| Alex Cotton (29/04/2003) does Carl Lee still work at the farm. I was a student of his at the Sheffield College and I have now finished University and have a job for the Civil Service. | Mick Clarkson (03/10/2002) What the website does'nt tell you is that the Farm has allsorts of interesting alternative energy thingies on display like solar panels, photovoltaics, wind turbines and grass roofs. The Resource and Trainnig Centre is designed as a very low energy building and not only that but it looks great. Well worth a look!
| Simon Geller (02/10/2002) If you're interested in environmental issues in Sheffield you might also be interested in Pedal Pushers, the Sheffield Cycle Campaign. Visit our web site at http://www.pedalpushers.org.uk. We support Heeley City Farm & Sheffield's green network.
