There's a wide selection of healthy, tasty food in our friendly community café. It's also a great place to meet friends and look out for other activities including craft groups, parent and toddler sessions, displays, exhibitions and even cookery classes.

Garden Centre
The region's only peat-free garden centre is here in Heeley! We have a wide range of top quality plants, often at much lower prices than many bigger garden centres. Find a friendly face for some advice on your gardening needs. Since our Garden Centre is also an accredited training centre, we grow expert horticulturalists as well as plants. We promote peat-free, organic and low water gardening so the Garden Centre sells a range of composts and manures to improve and condition your soil, naturally.

Relax as you wander around our aromatic herb gardens (mind the ducks!) humid polytunnels, demonstration gardens and vegetable plots.

Renewable Energy
See the Region's Renewable Energy Centre with information and demonstrations of wind and solar power and how you can apply these technologies to your own home and workplace.

Playground
You can play on the slides in our under 8's Play Area - if you're young enough!

Animals
Take time out to meet our rare and unusual domestic animals including large black pigs, Soay sheep, prize winning goats, Fern Chough the Exmoor pony and Molly the Irish moiled cow with her calf, Moonlight.

The widest range of materials can be brought to our Recycling Centre including plastics, glass, tin cans, aluminium, paper, clothes, timber and waste for composting. We can offer advice on a wide variety of composting methods.
